Blast from the Past is a modular diner that was built in Ormond Beach, Florida by Valiant Diners. It was shipped up in 3 pieces and assembled on location in two days. Once the diner was placed onto the foundation, it took a couple of weeks for the finishing touches to be done. The diner opened for business on July 8, 2004. We opened to overwhelming amounts of customers who were interested to see a fifties style diner in the area.
Blast From the Past Too very similar to the original diner in Waterboro, Maine opened in October 2013 and is located in Scarborough, Maine.
From mid May to mid September we offer a Friday Night Cruise from 5 p.m. to close. There is up to 100 cars on display for the viewing pleasure of customers before or after having dinner. This is a great opportunity for people to connect and talk while browsing through the many models of antique cars at no charge.
Our goal is to provide homemade style meals like you could make at home if you had time to cook for yourself. We use fresh potatoes for mashed and hand cut our french fries. The onion rings are hand cut, battered and cooked by the kitchen staff. Some of the homemade food options are meatloaf, shepherd’s pie, lasagna, american chop suey and many more. We use fresh chicken breast, hand cut our own steaks, bread our own chicken tenders and cook our own pasta. We also cook fresh turkey for all our turkey options. Our burgers are made with fresh 8 oz. Angus Beef patties. We offer a variety of seafood options including a lobster roll using real lobster (no imitation fillers). We also bake fresh bread rolls that are served hot.
Of course no meals are complete without adding a milk shake or root beer float. Beer and wine also available for purchase.
